UAE-backed factions launch campaign of arrests in Socotra

SOCOTRA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The UAE-backed factions launched on Wednesday a massive arrest campaign among citizens on the Yemeni island of Socotra.

Local sources said that groups of militants raided a number of homes in the neighborhoods near the UAE military base at Socotra Airport, arresting a number of people without knowing the motives.

The sources suggested that these arrests came as a result of citizens’ rejection of the new UAE military developments in the areas surrounding the airport.
