Prominent educational official assassinated in Shabwa

SHABWA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen assassinated on Wednesday a prominent educational official in Shabwa province, which is controlled by Saudi-led coalition factions in eastern Yemen.

Informed local sources reported that the gunmen opened fire on the director of the examinations division of the Education Office in Shabwa, Ahmed Tarish Al-Dayani, near one of the military points belonging to the “Shabwa Defense” factions funded by the UAE in the city of Ataq, the center of the province.

Al-Dayani was injured by several gunshot wounds in various parts of his body, and he was transferred to Ataq Hospital, but he died while the gunmen managed to escape to an unknown destination, according to the sources.

The assassination of Al-Dayani is considered a continuation of the security chaos that is striking the province, which is home to dozens of brigades affiliated with the coalition.
