TEHRAN, June 24 (YPA) – Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed on Tuesday that the recent memorandum of understanding does not include any provisions related to Iran’s ballistic missile program, stressing that the issue was never part of the negotiations.

In a statement, Pezeshkian stated during talks with Sharif that Iran “has not negotiated, and will not negotiate in the future, over its ballistic missiles,” emphasizing Tehran’s commitment to preserving its defense capabilities while remaining open to dialogue if other parties honor their commitments.

For his part, Sharif confirmed that the memorandum signed between the United States and Iran contains no reference to ballistic missiles, noting that the subject was not discussed during the talks and that the agreement is aimed at promoting long-term regional peace.
