SHABWA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – Shabwa tribes announced on Saturday a general mobilization against the UAE-backed armed factions in the province.
Local sources said that the mobilization against the so-called “Shabwa Defense” factions affiliated with the UAE came against the backdrop of the killing of one of tribes’ sons under torture in a secret prison inside Ataq Airport, the center of the province.
Shabwa tribes held an expanded meeting in the Al-Krum area of Nissab district to discuss the repercussions of the killing of the young man, Saddam Mujareb Al-Sulaimani Al-Awlaki, who was recruited in the “21 Mechanized Brigade” of the Islah Party last Thursday, after he was kidnapped by members of the “Shabwa Defense forces” at the end of last August in Ataq.
The Shabwa tribes affirmed their rejection of the accusations against Al-Awlaki, which have been issued recently in an attempt by the leaders of the Emirati-backed factions to divert the course of the case.
The meeting denounced the incident of arresting and torturing, Al-Awlaki, and storming his home outside the framework of the law, demanding the local authorities to bring those accused of committing torture and murders against Al-Awlaki, to injustice within a maximum period of 20 days.
