Laqmush tribes gather to reject UAE-backed factions’ violations in Shabwa

SHABWA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – The Laqmush tribes in Habban district of Shabwa province, which is controlled by Emirati-backed armed factions, announced on Tuesday their absolute rejection of the violations targeting the sheikhs and dignitaries of Al-Wahidi tribe.

This came in a statement issued at the expanded tribal meeting in Al Wahidi area, where the sheikhs and dignitaries of the tribe condemned the arbitrary report issued by pro-UAE factions against the head of the Dignity Movement for the sons of the Wahidi tribe,” Sheikh Saleh Mansour Dabi al-Qamishi, without any legal justification.

The statement stressed the tribal unity and the rejection of injustice, with adhering to peace and following legal methods in resolving contentious issues.

It warned against any arbitrary measures or violations targeting the people of all Al-Wahidi areas, affirming their full support for the “Peaceful Dignity Movement”.

The statement called on the UAE-backed local authorities to refrain from engaging in malicious and arbitrary reports, holding them fully responsible for what has happened or may happen to Sheikh Saleh Al-Qamishi.
