Aden witnesses armed confrontations between STC factions, gunmen 

ADEN, Aug. 26 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted on Saturday afternoon between gunmen and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in the center of the city of Aden in southern Yemen, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.

Eyewitnesses reported a heavy exchange of gunfire between members of STC factions and gunmen in the vicinity of Martyrs’ Square in the Al-Mansoura area, and the STC factions sent reinforcements to the area.

The reasons for the clashes remain unknown.
