US-led international coalition continues to penetrate Syrian airspace

WORLD, Aug 20 (YPA) – The so-called US-led international coalition continued its dangerous provocations over Syria, after two F-35s came dangerously close to two Russian Su-35s.

Two F-35 fighter jets of the pro-US coalition dangerously approached two Sukhoi-35 fighters of the Russian Aerospace Force near Al-Tanf in Syria on Saturday, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Conflicting Parties in Syria, has said.

“On August 19, from 06:08 to 06:16 in the Al-Tanf region, at an altitude of about 9,000 meters, two coalition F-35 fighter jets carried out a dangerous approach to two Su-35 aircraft of the Russian army,” the Russian Defense Ministry statement said.

“The Russian planes were on a routine flight along Syria’s southern border and the Russian pilots demonstrated high professionalism and took the necessary and timely measures to prevent collision,” the stamen added.
