SANAA, June 13 (YPA) – The West Capital Sanaa Court sentenced ten merchants to prison terms ranging from one to seven years and barred several of them from conducting business.
The ten merchants were convicted of causing pollution, producing and preparing foodstuffs from damaged and expired materials, producing non-conforming materials, forgery, and displaying and selling expired goods that were not fit for human use.
The court’s ruling also included preventing a number of convicted merchants from practicing the trade profession, and confiscating their machines and equipment.
