Political Council in Sanaa extends Al-Mashat’s presidency for three terms
SANAA, June 13 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council approved on Tuesday extending the tenures of President Mahdi Al-Mashat and his deputy, Sadiq Amin Abu Ras, for three presidential terms in accordance with the Council’s internal regulations.
The Supreme Political Council affirmed during its meeting today that “Yemen, with the passage of 3,000 days of aggression, is more ready for a just and honorable peace and more ready to defend itself, its sovereignty, independence, and capabilities.”
The Council indicated that the entitlements of the Yemeni people multiply on the shoulders of the “aggressors” the longer the war and the siege last.
In the meeting, the Council explained that “all the steps that are taking place in the occupied provinces (southern and eastern provinces) come within the framework of the conspiracies of the American occupier to legitimize its presence in those areas and impose its policies.”
The Council stressed that Yemen, with its leadership, army, and people, would not concede or bargain over its full sovereignty on land, sea, and air and would not accept the continuation of the war and the blockade.
