Abyan tribes call for establishment of new alliance after arrival of Major General Faisal Rajab

ABYAN, May 02 (YPA) –  A prominent tribal sheikh in Abyan province has called for the establishment a new alliance to defend the rights of the people of the province.

Sheikh of Al-Mansouri tribes, Mohammed Hussein Al-Mansouri, called on the tribal delegation accompanying Major General Faisal Rajab, and all notables and authorities, to seize the opportunity to form a preparatory committee to prepare for this alliance, its regulations and statutes.

He stressed that Abyan will not return to its rightful position and until the ranks of its tribes are united under one tribal component.

Al-Mansouri added the tribal alliance will have a major role in helping the authorities in the province and stand by them in solving various local issues.

He pointed out that the Abyan Tribes Alliance does not represent any political and partisan trend, as much as it aims to defend the rights of the people of Abyan, strengthen their social fabric, and support their cohesion to renounce conflicts and racial discrimination.
