Islah’s military leaders threaten to confront Tariq Afash forces in Taiz

TAIZ, Feb. 08 (YPA) – Several military leaders of the Islah Party threatened on Wednesday to confront the forces of UAE-backed Tariq Afash in Taiz province.

This came during a meeting was organized by the party with the so-called “Resistance leaders” and its branches in the districts of Taiz, in conjunction with the movements of “Tariq Afash” in the countryside of Taiz, calling for the mobilization of various energies.

The Islah Party stressed the community’s rallying in confronting all risks and threats facing what it called the “national project.”

The Party has approved priorities for action during the current stage, in coordination with Hammoud al-Mikhlafi, the head of the so-called “Popular Resistance in Taiz.”

Tariq Afash seeks, at the behest of the Emirates, to swallow the Islah factions in Taiz and control their positions in Al-Hujaria areas overlooking the western coast.

This came after the “leader of the Taiz axis” affiliated with the Islah party, Khaled Fadel, has been kidnaped at the beginning of this month by the UAE-funded “Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia in Aden, following meeting with the head of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, Rashad al-Alimi.

Military leaders accused the governor of Taiz, affiliated with the Emirates, Nabil Shamsan, and “Tariq Afash” of being behind the kidnapping of Fadel, in order to weaken the leaders of the Islah party in Taiz.
