Violent clashes break out between UAE factions in Shabwa

SHABWA, Feb. 08 (YPA) – Violent clashes broke out on Wednesday between coalition’s factions in the center of Ataq city, the capital of the oil province of Shabwa, in eastern Yemen.

According to local sources, clashes broke out between two factions affiliated with UAE in Ataq, led by Obaid Mudram, and another faction led by Anis al-Subaihi, with various types of light and medium weapons near al-Shabikah camp.

The sources confirmed that the elements of the leader Mudram imposed a suffocating siege on al-Shabika site, which is controlled by al-Subaihi elements, and forced them to hand over the site by force of arms, due to disagreements between them.

The sources said that the confrontations between UAE factions extended to the vicinity of Nokhan point, amid the escape of a number of military vehicles to al-Sahifa area, while the confrontations are still continuing between the elements loyal to the”Southern Transitional”.
