Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi inaugurates in Sanaa Participatory Urban Planning Program

SANAA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council Member , Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, on Tuesday inaugurated in Sanaa the Participatory Urban Planning Program and the community participation in the technical committees for urban planning.

The program is organized over a week by the General Authority for Land, Survey and Urban Planning in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Administration, and is attended by 120 participants representing the technical committees for urban planning in the capital Municipality and the provinces of Sanaa, Saada, Hodeida, and Ibb.

In the inauguration, the member of the Political Council emphasized that community participatory planning needs to be reviewed professionally, stressing the need for proper urban planning, away from courtesies to any official or influential person.

Al-Houthi noted that the General Authority for Lands and its employees have all the powers to implement urban planning programs based on scientific and thoughtful foundations, promising to stand by the Authority officials against any attempt to discourage them from implementing proper urban plans.
