Major fire breaks out at sponge factory in capital Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 25 (YPA) – A massive fire broke out in one of the commercial plants in the early hours of Wednesday morning  in the capital Sana’a.

According to witnesses, the fire broke out at a sponge factory east of the military college in  the capital.

Civil defense personnel on board five fire trucks rushed to the scene of the fire to put out the fire, they said.

Meanwhile, security sources said no human casualties  were reported, but only limited material casualties .

The fire caused fear and panic among residents of the area for fear of the spread of the fire.
