SANAA, Jul. 31 (YPA) – Haitian police announced the arrest of a fourth police officer, William Moyes, as part of the investigation into the assassination of the country’s president, Jovenel Moise.
Police spokeswoman Marie-Michel Ferret said the arrested police were escorting the armed mercenaries during the attack.
The Haitian police indicate that there are nine other members of the police awaiting questioning in the case, and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is assisting the Haitian authorities in the investigation, searched their homes.
Haitian police carried out 46 interrogations and arrested 27 people, including 18 Colombians, in connection with the attack on President Moise’s residence on July 7.
Police are looking for six others suspected of involvement in the crime, including a former senator, a former judge and a businessman.
