Al-Qassam Brigades inflict more losses upon Israeli enemy forces in Gaza

GAZA, July 04 (YPA) -The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Friday evening that their fighters had carried out a series of special operations targeting Israeli occupation forces across multiple fronts in the Gaza Strip, as fierce fighting continues in several areas.

In an official statement, the group said its fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a Yassin 105 shell east of Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.

They also targeted an Israeli command and control site east of the neighborhood with three mortar shells, according to the statement.

In a separate development, Al-Qassam fighters shelled Israeli troop concentrations in the Western Satar area in northern Khan Younis with mortars, amid ongoing heavy clashes in the region.

The announcement came as Hebrew media outlets reported a “major security incident” in northern Khan Younis.

At least five missiles were reportedly launched by Israeli helicopters in the area, while helicopters were also seen landing near Hamad City, raising speculation about the possible evacuation of wounded soldiers.

Eyewitnesses said the clashes are ongoing, with intense Israeli artillery shelling targeting central and northern Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, Hebrew media confirmed that three Israeli soldiers were killed earlier on Friday in separate incidents in Gaza.

One of the casualties was reportedly a member of the Golani Brigade, killed after an anti-tank missile struck an Israeli armored vehicle in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.

According to the media, the soldier’s body was recovered approximately five hours after the attack.

Hebrew media also reported another security incident in the Beit Hanoun area of northern Gaza, though no further details were available.
