Political researcher warns of Islah’s plot to target “Yafa”

LAHJ, Jul. 10 (YPA) – Dr. Khalid al-Shamiri, a professor of political science at Taiz University, warned of plot planned by  Islah militants in Lahj after al-Qaeda members fled Bayda to Yafa district .

“This is what I was warning about two weeks ago before the spark of war broke out in Bayda. I have said that the Muslim Brotherhood wanted to drag the battles with the” Houthis”  towards Yafa,” said Khalid al-Shamiri, who is affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)  in a series of tweets on Saturday.

“ Now, if the Houthi forces move towards Yafa, You have to know ( my bother southerners ) that the Islah militants  will surprise you with an attack from the Shuqra district, Abyan side, ” he explained .

“We note that al-Qaeda groups that received support and weapons from the Muslim Brotherhood leader Abu Khalid al-Turki will point that weapon at southerners in Yafa,” he added.
