Palestinian resistance destroys “Israeli” military vehicle east of Shuja’iyya

GAZA, July 30 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that one of its combat groups, in coordination with the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, were able to destroy an Israeli military vehicle during a field operation east of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza City on July 8.

In a military statement issued on Wednesday evening, the Brigades said that its fighters returning from the contact lines “confirmed the success of the joint operation that targeted a Zionist military vehicle as it advanced into the area, by detonating a pre-planted anti-tank explosive device.”

The statement explained that the operation comes within the framework of what it described as “a natural response to the ongoing Zionist aggression against our people, and as confirmation of the continuation of the resistance with full readiness and ability to inflict losses on the ranks of the occupation, despite the intensity of the bombing and air strikes.”

The Brigades praised the “high field coordination” that brought together its fighters with the fighters of the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, considering that “field unity constitutes one of the pillars of steadfastness and confrontation on the battlefields.”

There was no immediate comment from the occupation army regarding the operation or the extent of the losses, while the eastern Gaza Strip has been witnessing violent confrontations and repeated ground incursions for weeks as part of an ongoing military escalation.
