Fire breaks out after explosion at steel factory in Iran

TEHRAN, Jun.06 (YPA) –  A massive fire broke out Sunday morning after an explosion at a steel factory in the southeast of the country, causing no casualties, Iranian media reported, citing local sources

“Local sources in Zarand city in Kerman province said a powerful explosion and a fire took place at the Zarnd steel factory,” FARS News Agency reported on its Telegram account.

The agency quoted the governor of the province as saying that the incident was caused due to spillage of molten materials.

“The incident is now under control. There have been no reports of casualties yet.”

Iran has finally witnessed a series of bombings that have rocked several sites, most notably at the Natanz facility, 250 kilometers south of the capital Tehran, the country’s largest uranium enrichment facility.
