STC: Our forces ready to confront any attack

LAHJ, Feb. 3 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has instructed its forces to prepare for any possible attack by the Islah militants in Tur al-Bahah district on Lahj province, southern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal , based on military sources.

According to military sources, the STC asked its troops to prepare for a decisive battle.

The instructions came following a major military parade of Islah militants forces in the district, under the name of the inauguration of the training year .

Mohammed al-Naqeep, the STC’s military spokesman in Abyan sent a warning letter to the Islah forces against the backdrop of their recent build-up in Lahj.

” The Muslim brotherhood’s mobilization is a part of the attempts to thwart the Riyadh agreement with the military and political aspects, ” he told AL-GHAD AL Mashreq TV.

He accused Islah forces of trying to take control of Bab al-Mandab in the service of the Turkish agenda.

 Al-Naqeep stressed that their forces are ready to confront any attack.
