Yafa tribes to send 1,500 fighters to confront Islah militants in Abyan

LAHJ, June 14 (YPA) – The Yafa tribes in Lahj province announced on Sunday that 41 companies of their sons will be equipped to reinforce the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council” militias in the coming hours.

Tribal sources in Lahj said that the Tribes of Labous Yafa, held a tribal meeting of their dignitaries earlier in the day, and expressed their willingness to equip 1,500 fighters and send them to confront the al-Islah militants on Abyan fronts.

Last week, the Sabiha tribes sent hundreds of their militants to the Shuqrah front to reinforce the STC militias.
