PM discusses ICRC mission’s support for Yemen to combat Corona

SANAA, June 14 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Sunday discussed with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)’s head of delegation in Yemen Franz Rauchenstein the committee’s role in supporting the national effort to confront Corona pandemic.

The meeting dealt with ways to enhance ICRC’s humanitarian activities and interventions in a number of governmental and societal sectors as part of its contribution to the reduction of the Yemenis’ suffering due to the continued aggression and the blockade.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the ICRC humanitarian role during this tragic ordeal that the Yemeni people are going through, including its efforts to exchange prisoners and dead bodies.
