Syrian army eliminates al-Qaeda group in Idlib countryside

SANAA, June 13 (YPA) – Syrian Arab Army reconnaissance units observed hostile movements on the axis of al-Bara town in southern Idlib countryside before it began to deal with it through a series of heavy artillery strikes.

A military source in the northern Hama countryside confirmed that the armed group, which was spotted after midnight, was moving on the southern outskirts of the town of al-Bara, which is controlled by the “Hurass al-Din” group.

 A field source was quoted as saying that armed groups were ready to carry out an attack on Syrian army positions near the area,

 He pointed out that an armed group was followed up on a monitoring operation near the lines of contact and dealt with by artillery, killing and injuring the entire group.

 The source explained that the Chinese militants in the organization “Turkistan party”, increased their activities significantly in recent days on the axis of the jungle plain and the corner mountain of Hama north and southern Idlib.

 He added that these activities were dealt with through the air forces and rocket launchers, destroying several mechanisms for them.

 The source added that Syrian army units operating on the axes of the Jungle Plain and Idlib countryside are fully prepared in case of any emergency that may occur on these fronts.

 Hurass al-Din leads a Shura Council dominated by Jordanian fighters and some Gulf nationals who have fought in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia and the Caucasus, and have a long history in the ranks of al-Qaeda, including Abu Jalilib of Jordan ,Tubas, Abu Khadija al-Jordanian, Abu Abdul Rahman al-Maki, Saif al-Adl and Sami al-Aridi.
