Socotra residents demonstrate against Brotherhood presence

SOCOTRA, Oct. 13 (YPA) – Thousands of citizens on Socotra Island province on Sunday staged a mass demonstration to express their rejection of the pro-Saudi Brotherhood project, represented in Hadi’s government.

The UAE-backed militias mobilized thousands of the people of Socotra in front of the headquarters of the local authority in the province, and surrounded the headquarters.

The demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the departure of Ramzi Mahrous, the province’s governor appointed by Hadi’s government, who carries out agendas of Brotherhood project loyal to Qatar as they said.

Socotra is witnessing a popular escalation and almost daily demonstrations demanding the departure of the province’s governor and followers of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) on the one hand and the UAE occupiers on the other.
