Heavy smoke pillars rise from Aden Int’l Airport

ADEN, Oct. 13 (YPA) – A huge fire broke out at noon Sunday at the Aden International Airport and heavy smoke plumes were seen rising inside the airport campus, sources reported.

According to the sources, a number of the Southern Transitional Council’s militias loyal to the UAE refused to hand over Aden airport to Saudi forces, after a partial withdrawal of the UAE forces on Saturday.

The sources said that the militias caused chaos at the airport, without explaining the reasons for the outbreak of the fire and the rise of smoke pillars from the airport campus.
