Tribesmen Intercept Saudi Forces in Mahrah province

MAHRAH, June 4 (YPA) – Tribesmen opposed to Saudi presence intercepted Saudi military reinforcements on their way to Al-Ghaydha, capital of Mahrah province, eastern Yemen.

Local sources reported that a group of tribesmen prevented the arrival of military reinforcements to the city’s airport where there is a Saudi military base.

The source added that the reinforcements consisted of 7 armored vehicles and 7 military crews in addition to large carriers with a number of containers and closed boxes.

The source pointed out that the tribesmen gathered to stop the Saudi reinforcement.

The source pointed out that the Saudi Apache planes bombed near the tribal positions opposed to the presence of Saudi military forces.
