Saudi-backed commander injured by Yemen’s drone strike, died in UAE hospital
SANAA, Feb. 3 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday announced the death of a senior military commander from injuries he sustained in a deadly drone strike on a Saudi-backed military parade loyal to exiled Hadi in the southern Yemeni province of Lahj.
So called deputy chief of Hadi’s army staff, Saleh al-Zindany, died Sunday in hospital in Abu Dhabi, where he was receiving treatment after the drone strike, UAE-owned Sky News Arabic reported.
On January 10, the Yemeni army launched a drone strike on occupied al-Anad air force, killing dozens of occupation-backed commanders, including Hadi’s so-called military intelligence chief Mohammed Tammah.
The coalition has been waging devastating war on Yemen since March 2015 to back its mercenaries in the south, killing tens of thousands of civilians and pushing the country into the verge of famine.
