Sanaa launches humanitarian plan for 2019, vowing to correct imbalances

SANAA, Feb. 3 (YPA) – Yemen’s humanitarian needs plan for 2019 was launched on Sunday in the capital Sanaa during a launching ceremony organized by the National Authority for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Response.

In the ceremony, Ahmed Hamid, chief of the national authority for management and coordination of humanitarian affairs, said that the year 2019 would witness the activation of humanitarian efforts at various levels.

Hamid criticized the mechanism by which relief organizations are working in Yemen, vowing that the authority would work to correct all imbalances.

The ceremony held under the auspices of President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, UN Humanitarian Representative in Yemen Lise Grande, and a number of ministers of the national salvation government and representatives of humanitarian organizations.
