Citizens in Sanaa protest against preventing entry of oil derivatives

SANAA, Dec. 10 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens Monday staged a protest in front of headquarters of the United Nations office in Sanaa to denounce preventing the entry of oil derivatives vessels by Saudi-led coalition.

The protestors raised banners condemning the international community’s complicity in the crimes that have been committed by the coalition against the Yemeni people for nearly four years.

A statement issued by trade unions and civil society organizations called on the international community to stop the coalition practices and to intervene urgently to lift the blockade and allow the entry of oil derivatives.

The statement demanded the United Nations to take binding decisions to neutralize the Yemeni economy, stressing that “the humanitarian situation in Yemen required ending its causes by working to stop the war and allow access of food, medicine, oil derivatives and all the needs of the Yemeni people.”
