Coalition forces suffer heavy losses in Jawf

JAWF, Nov. 12 (YPA) – US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces on Monday suffered heavy human losses in confrontations with the Yemeni army in Jawf province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army units repelled a large-scale infiltration of the coalition forces towards heights and mountains of al-Mohor area in Jawf, killing and injuring dozens of the coalition soldiers in sniping operations, according to field military sources.

The battles coincided with artillery shelling of the army forces on gatherings of the coalition troops in the mountains, which resulted in scores of dead and wounded in their ranks, the sources added.
