Yemeni army repels coalition infiltration attempts in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Aug. 19 (YPA) – The Yemeni army was able to repel wide-scale infiltration attempts by Saudi-led coalition in Hajjah province over the past three days, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army forces carried out a military operation, besieging and targeting the coalition troops with artillery shells and various weapons in several sites, which resulted in dozens of dead and wounded in their ranks and destroying more than ten military vehicles, according to the official.

The bodies of the coalition troops were still on the ground, the official added, adding that the infiltration attempts were accompanied by intensive flying of warplanes, Apache and reconnaissance planes.

The coalition fighter jets launched more than 75 raids during the three days, mostly on homes and properties of citizens in the province without achieving any progress, the official said.
