SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Chief of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed al-Houthi, said on Sunday the Yemeni Defense Ministry rejected at least 2,500 persons who were under age of recruitment.

The move came after the Defense Ministry in Sanaa handed over a total of 31 child to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in which the soldiers have been arrested by the Saudi-led coalition forces during the battles.

“We are ready to release all prisoners arrested by the Yemeni army before the al-Adha Eid  provided that the coalition countries release our prisoners,” Al-Houthi said.

Al-Houthi said that the Saudi-led countries invested everything outside the international law and used for the brutal ways against dozens of the prisoners.

Mr. Al-Houthi called on the UN envoy to condemn the prisoners’ executions exerted by the coalition and the release of all prisoners.

Al-Houthi stressed on the need to release the minor prisoners by the coalition and return them to their families.

Al-Houthi urged the minor prisoners’ families to maintain their children from being misled or dragged to the frontlines, calling on the local authorities to cooperate with the families in this regard.
