UAE occupation transfers 40 detainees from Mukalla to Aden prisons

ADEN, Aug. 14 (YPA) – The United Arab of Emigrates (UAE) cooption forces transferred a total of detainees from Al-Emiratesrport to Aden, south of Yemen, sources close to the emirate’s occupation forces said.

The sources confirmed that the UAE forces transferred about 40 detainees some of who were forcibly hidden from Hadramout to the prison of Bir Ahmed in Aden, in preparation for their exile to the private prisons in Ethiopia.

They indicated that among the detainees were a number of fishermen, political activists and defendants accused of belonging to the terrorist organization ISIL and al-Qaeda, who had been arrested in the past two years, and their parents do not know anything about them.

Hundreds of detained and those who were forcibly hidden prisoners are being held  in secret prisons for three years without being charged, and have not been subject to legal proceedings in under the Yemeni law.

The United Arab Emirates occupation forces run a number of secret prisons and detention centers including an exile in Eritrea and Socotra, to transport detainees,  those who are forcibly hidden, and many of those who reject the UAE presence in the southern provinces.
