Belgium refuses to renew passport of Israeli settler residing in occupied Jerusalem

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, May 13 (YPA) – The Belgian consulate in Israel refused to renew the passport of an Israeli settler residing in the settlement of Pisgat Ze’ev, east of occupied Jerusalem, Hebrew media said.

Channel 12 reported that Annabelle Herseger-Tenser said the consulate informed her that her application was rejected because she resides in “a settlement not recognized under international law, to which Belgium is bound,” confirming that she could no longer be registered in the consulate’s population register and therefore her name was removed from the mission’s records.

Herseger-Tenser holds Belgian citizenship and immigrated to the occupied territories from Belgium in 1980.
