TEHRAN, May 08 (YPA) – Ali Khezrian, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, declared that the Islamic Republic “no longer views the UAE as a neighbor,” reclassifying it instead as a “hostile military base,” in a significant diplomatic escalation.
Khezrian justified this shift by citing “serious suspicions” regarding UAE aircraft allegedly masking their national insignia to launch direct strikes on Iranian territory.
Consequently, he asserted that Tehran will now adopt a policy toward the UAE similar to its dealings with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, warning that Iran maintains the right to “strike the UAE at any moment deemed necessary.”
