Sanaa concludes 4th Conference “Palestine: The Nation’s Central Cause” with broad int’l participation

SANAA, March 10 (YPA) – The 4th International Conference, “Palestine: The Nation’s Central Cause,” held under the slogan “You Are Not Alone,” concluded on Tuesday in the capital, Sanaa.

Over four days, the conference witnessed intensive intellectual and political activity with the participation of academics, researchers, and thought leaders from Yemen and 13 Arab, Islamic, and friendly countries.

Key Outcomes and Figures

Participants reviewed a wealth of research reflecting the high level of interest in the Palestinian cause and current shifts:

  • Scientific Papers: 373 research papers were discussed out of 553 submitted to the preparatory committee.
  • Participating Institutions: Researchers represented 91 universities, institutions, and research centers.
  • International Presence: Participation of 56 political and human rights figures and activists from various countries worldwide.

Strategic Discussion Tracks

The accepted scientific papers were distributed across core tracks, including:

  1. Conflict Management: Consolidating the Quranic vision for confronting the “Zionist enemy” and analyzing the origins of global Zionism.
  2. Military and Political Dimensions: Analyzing the strategic implications of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle and the Yemeni role in the battle of “The Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad.”
  3. Intellectual and Media Confrontation: The role of resistance media in the “war of narratives,” the dangers of normalization, and the importance of economic boycotts.
  4. Zionist Expansion: Exposing expansionist ambitions for so-called “Greater Israel” and hegemony projects in the region.

Statements by Conference Leadership

During the closing ceremony, the Acting Prime Minister, Mohamed Meftah, emphasized that the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle represented a turning point that exposed the fragility of the hegemony system. He noted that holding the conference in conjunction with International Quds Day reinforces the centrality of the cause. He also highlighted the “uprising of human conscience” in Western universities and the necessity of prosecuting occupation leaders legally.

For their part, the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, Dr. Abdulrahim al-Humran, and his deputy, Dr. Ahmed al-Arami, stated that the conference served as a scientific platform to anticipate the future of the conflict and its regional and international repercussions, praising the academic engagement that transcended geographical borders.

International Solidarity

The conclusion featured video messages from international activists and human rights defenders, praising Yemen’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause. They called for unifying international efforts to support the Palestinian people and prosecute occupation leaders for war crimes and genocide.
