Significant progress reported in Iran-U.S. indirect talks in Geneva

GENEVA, Feb. 27 (YPA) – The third round of indirect negotiations between the United States and Iran concluded in Geneva on Thursday, with mediators reporting “significant progress” in efforts to resolve the nuclear deadlock.

Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi announced via the “X” platform that the talks yielded “notable advancement,” expressing gratitude to the negotiators, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Swiss host government.

Discussions are set to shift to a technical level in Vienna next week to refine the details of the understandings reached.

Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, confirmed the conclusion of the second phase of this third round of nuclear talks to the state news agency (IRNA).

The parties are expected to resume full-scale talks shortly following consultations with their respective capitals. This latest development signals a positive shift in the diplomatic track aimed at reviving the nuclear file.
