Government media urges Gaza administration committee to begin its task

GAZA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The Government Information Office on Thursday called on the National Committee for Gaza’s administration to urgently enter the Strip and begin its work, affirming its full readiness to transfer all powers without delay.

In a statement, the office said government institutions, departments, and their staff are prepared to cooperate fully with the committee to serve the public interest and promote stability. It also emphasized the unity of Palestinian territories and the political link between the West Bank and Gaza, stressing that strengthening national unity remains a top priority at this critical stage.

The National Committee, an independent technocratic body headed by Ali Sha’at, was established to manage civil affairs, oversee internal security, and supervise reconstruction efforts during the transitional period.

Although the committee officially launched its work from Cairo in mid-January, it has so far been unable to enter Gaza and begin operations due to Israeli restrictions and field obstacles.
