Sanaa FM warns of repercussions of US escalation against Venezuela

SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of foreign affairs condemned on Tuesday the continuous US escalation against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In a statement, the ministry described the US military mobilization, the closure of airspace, and the seizure of an oil tanker, as a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations, the provisions of international law, the sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity of Venezuela.

The statement coalfired these measures are a serious escalation and the hostile approach that threatens stability in the Caribbean region and undermines international peace and security.

“The United States has been pursuing hostile policies against countries that refuse to submit to its hegemony, uphold the independence of its national decision, and seek freedom from dependence,” it added.

The ministry’s statement warned of the serious repercussions of their continuation, stressing the need to respect international law, stop all forms of escalation, pursue dialogue and resolve differences by peaceful means.
