TEHRAN, July 12 (YPA) – The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Saturday that it had successfully dismantled a spy network linked to the Israeli intelligence agency “Mossad” in Mazandaran Province.
According to a statement issued by the IRGC Intelligence Organization, a key member of the network who was planning subversive activities within the country was arrested.
The statement indicated that the arrest was made possible through precise intelligence efforts by the Karbala Corps, who captured the suspect before he could carry out any subversive activity. The statement also explained that the operation was carried out in cooperation with foreign opposition groups.
The IRGC stated that the investigations that followed the arrest led to the identification and arrest of other members of the network, thus announcing the complete dismantling of the plot.
The statement concluded with the IRGC Intelligence Organization in Mazandaran affirming its full readiness to confront any security threat, emphasizing that any hostile action against the country’s security will be met with a firm and painful response.
