Demonstration held in New Jersey against arms exports to Israeli occupation

NEW JERSEY, Nov. 02 (YPA) – Activists and supporters of the Palestinian people organized a protest at Port Elizabeth in New Jersey against the export and transfer of weapons to the Israeli occupation, as part of a series of international events taking place at ports around the world this week.

According to the organizers, the actions included more than 100 ports in at least 22 countries, with the participation of activists, port workers, and labor unions. Participants drove a motorcade inside the port area, raising the Palestinian flag and demanding a halt to arms transfers to “Israel” and calling for a boycott of the Israeli shipping company “Zim”.

The organizers confirmed that the actions come within the framework of an international solidarity campaign to pressure for a halt to the export of weapons used in the war on Gaza and to highlight the role of ports and shipping companies in transferring military equipment to the occupation.
