SANAA, June 28 (YPA) – Slovenia announced that it will move with other like-minded countries if the European Union does not take concrete action within the next two weeks to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a genocidal war by Israel for 21 months.
In statements to reporters on the sidelines of an EU summit in Brussels, Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Gollub said that some EU countries are putting their own interests first instead of protecting the human rights of the Palestinian people.
Gollub stressed the need for the EU to take concrete steps against Israel.
He added: “If the EU does not take concrete action on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza within the next two weeks, we will move with like-minded countries to put real pressure on Israel.”
“We are ready to do so, and the time is now,” he continued.”
Gollub indicated the need to take steps that go beyond solidarity with Palestine.
