US treasury lifts sanctions on IRGC-linked entities as Iran signals deal is close

WASHINGTON, Aug. 05 (YPA) – The US Department of the Treasury announced on Wednesday evening the lifting of sanctions on three entities associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

A US Treasury official told “Fox News” that the removal of these sanctions does not signal a shift in American policy toward Iran or the IRGC’s Quds Force.

Meanwhile, a senior Iranian official told Al-Jazeera TV that only one or two outstanding issues remain before reaching an agreement, noting that these remaining points can be resolved.
