Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor: “Israel” kills a Palestinian woman every hour in Gaza

GAZA, May 11 (YPA) – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that Israel has killed a Palestinian woman every hour since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, noting that this repeated targeting of women reflects a systematic Israeli policy aimed at using the killing of women as a tool for demographic destruction within the crime of genocide.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor explained in a statement that these statistics only include women killed as a result of direct bombing, and do not include those who died due to the blockade, starvation, or deprivation of basic healthcare.

Field data indicated that there is a systematic pattern in targeting pregnant women and young mothers with their children, which directly threatens the future of the Palestinian population.

The Monitor indicated that 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffer from extremely difficult conditions as a result of malnutrition and hunger due to the comprehensive blockade, at a time when pregnant women are being specifically targeted, which is considered part of the forced prevention of births, one of the elements of the crime of genocide.
