WASHINGTON, April 12 (YPA) – Meta (formerly the Facebook company) has removed 90,000 posts supporting Gaza at the request of the Israeli government, which launched a comprehensive crackdown on posts on Instagram and Facebook.
DropSite, a website specializing in political and war affairs, quoted Meta data indicating that the company has responded 94 percent to removal requests that the Israeli government issued since October 7, 2023.
The website revealed documents and data showing that 95 percent of the occupation authorities’ requests fall under the category of terrorism, violence, or incitement, targeting users from Arab and Muslim-majority countries.
The new report by DropSite came days after a report by the American website Grayzone, which revealed that over 100 spies and former Israeli soldiers worked for Meta and served in the Israeli military through a government program that allows non-Israelis to volunteer for the military.
Previous investigations were revealed the infiltration of former Israeli spies into major technology companies such as Google, with their presence indicating the dominance of pro-Israel voices within the American government.
In parallel with the genocidal war that the Israeli occupation has been waging against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, the occupation and its supporting forces are waging a fierce war against Palestinian content on social media networks in the virtual world.
