GAZA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The Palestinian Media Forum warned, on Monday, of the risks of the collapse of the relief system in Gaza following the World Food Programme’s suspension of aid to nearly half a million people, calling for intensified professional and humanitarian coverage.
In a recommendation posted on Facebook, the forum explained the necessity of highlighting the suffering of affected families, especially mothers, children, the sick, and the displaced, documenting the repercussions of the decision on food, medicine, and basic needs, and monitoring the ability of relief organizations to operate.
It stressed the need to verify the number of beneficiaries, the nature of the aid, and the reasons for the decision from reliable sources, activate accountability regarding the responsibilities for ensuring the delivery of aid, and keep the crisis at the forefront of coverage to attract international attention, emphasizing: “Behind every number is a family struggling to survive.”
