UNRWA: Over 1,000 children killed or injured during first week of ceasefire collapse in Gaza

GAZA, April 12 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Saturday that more than 1,000 children were killed and injured in Gaza during the first week after the ceasefire collapsed.

UNRWA said in a post on its Facebook page today regarding the latest developments in Gaza and the West Bank: “Humanitarian aid and supplies have not entered the Gaza Strip since March 2, when the Israeli authorities imposed a blockade.”

It added that “as a result, vital humanitarian supplies, including food, fuel, medical assistance, and vaccines for children, are rapidly running out.”

It noted that on April 8, officials from the Jerusalem (Quds) municipality, accompanied by Israeli occupation security forces, raided six UNRWA schools in East Jerusalem and issued orders to close these schools within 30 days.
