Supporters of Palestine transform American embassy’s pool in London into red

LONDON, April 10 (YPA) – Pro-Palestine activists in the United Kingdom turned a pool belonging to the US Embassy in London red on Thursday by pouring hundreds of liters of red dye, in protest against Washington’s role in supporting the Israeli occupation in its crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Greenpeace reported in a statement on its website that 12 activists from the movement in the United Kingdom poured 300 liters of dark red dye into the pool of the US Embassy in London.

In a statement on its website, it added that the move aims to “highlight the death and destruction that has occurred in Gaza as a direct result of the United States’ continued arms sales to the Israeli occupation.”

The movement condemned the United States’ continued arms exports to the Israeli occupation while its genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip continues.

It called on the governments of the United Kingdom and the United States to “declare a comprehensive arms embargo on the Israeli occupation to stop the horrific and ongoing genocide.”

Video footage showed the water in the pool at the US embassy turning red, while Greenpeace shared several photos documenting the moments when dye was poured into the pool through boxes labeled “Stop Arming Israel.”

At dawn on March 18, the Israeli occupation army resumed its brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, launching a series of violent airstrikes on various areas of the Palestinian enclave, in violation of the ceasefire agreement signed on January 20.

The resumption of the aggression, which has resulted in thousands of Palestinian civilian deaths and injuries, has sparked a wave of protests in numerous cities around the world in support of the Palestinian people and calls for an immediate end to the Israeli occupation’s aggression.
