Lazzarini: The martyrdom and injury of 100 children daily in Gaza is horrific

GAZA, April 05 (YPA) – The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, described the killing and wounding of at least 100 children every day in the Gaza Strip since the resumption of Zionist attacks, according to what the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced, as horrific.

Lazzarini said, in a post on the X platform, that “15,000 children have been killed in Gaza since the start of the war, according to reports, adding that the war has turned the Gaza Strip into a no-man’s land for children.”

He stressed that the ceasefire at the beginning of this year gave the children of Gaza a chance to survive and a chance to just be children, but the resumption of the war has robbed them of their childhood once again.

He confirmed that the killing of children, wherever they are, is completely unjustifiable, describing what is happening in Gaza as a stain on the conscience of humanity, and he called for an immediate ceasefire in the Strip.

The Zionist enemy entity has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 166,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, more than 14,000 missing, and almost complete destruction of the besieged Strip.
