Sanaa opens museum doors to visitors for free in capital, four provinces

SANAA, April 05 (YPA) – The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Sanaa announced on Saturday its decision to open museums in the capital and other provinces free of charge to visitors every day of the week, except Friday.

The Authority called on citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about Yemen’s rich historical and cultural heritage, confirming that museums will be open to visitors daily from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, except on Fridays.

Furthermore, the Authority emphasized the importance of visiting museums as a bridge to connect with Yemen’s rich heritage and ancient civilizations. It described antiquities and museums as essential symbols that reflect human history and culture throughout various eras.

The announcement included a list of museums that will be open to the public: the National Museum in Sanaa, the Museum of Popular Heritage in Sanaa, the Baynun Museum in Dhamar province, the Dhafar Museum in Ibb province, the Kant Museum in Amran province, and the Zabid Museum in Zabid city.
